Our story
The House of Tío Ray
Casa del Tío is the home of “Tío Ray”, also known as Chef Raymond — chef, host, guide and creator of the experience. He is passionate about kitesurfing, cycling, growing food, cooking and the nature of Baja California Sur.
The name says it all: visiting a relative's house on vacation. Some sleep in rooms, others in glamping tents, and everyone meets in the morning in the common areas — still in pajamas, with the smell of coffee.
Kona, a blue heeler and Australian shepherd, is the lady of the house. She inspired our logo and stands for protection, company and hospitality.
